Marriage means nothing but a strong commitment which should be taken by both the partners that they have to stay together whatever happens, whatever may be the situation but their bond should never be broken. India is a land of multiple religions and multiple cultures and languages and all the religions of India consider marriage to be the most auspicious event of life. In India marriage is more a religious ceremony than just a social or legal responsibility. It is a way to unite two souls. In fact it can be said that Indian weddings are a perfect combination of tradition as well as celebration and revelry. Indian marriage varies according to different regions. It is true that Indian marriages vary according to different cultures but one thing is common to all Indian marriage is the significance of commitment. It’s not that divorce is not happening in India but it’s lower as compared to any other countries.
Types of Indian Marriages:
The different types of Indian marriages mainly based on the regions are namely as the North Indian marriage, the South Indian marriage the East Indian marriage and the West Indian marriage.
North Indian Marriage:
The North Indian marriages have their own style of grandeur and magnificence and have gained immense popularity across the nations. North Indian marriages with all their splendor and brilliance have cast its spell on so many foreigners that there are a number of people who consider to be getting married in India. Consequently the marriage tourism in India has gained immense popularity. North Indian marriages are very loyal to customs and traditions. South Indian Marriages:

East Indian Marriages:

West Indian Marriages:
The West Indian marriages reflect the collective culture of the Indian states like Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra and so on. The culture of West India is less similar to other parts of India. The West Indian marriages are bound by customs of western India. Arranging a marriage is the responsibility of Indian parents and relatives of both bride and groom. In West India marriage is considered to be the greatest event in a family.
